Russian Cake Balls {Пироженое Картошка}

These Cake balls  - a very simple dessert, its familiar taste will please any sweet tooth. To translate it in English it will be "Sweet dessert potato". 

Here's how to prepare dessert "Potato".

Ingredients for the dough:
8 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 tsp vanilla

   Cream:
2 eggs
1 cup milk
3/4 cup sugar
2 sticks butter
1-2 tbs baking cocoa
4 tbs rum or brandy

I like to add nuts in these.

There is a different version of these sweets: you can substitute cream for 1 can sweet condensed milk, 2 sticks of butter, 2 tbs baking cocoa and 4 tbs rum. And for the dough use tea cookies.

For the dough mix eggs with sugar for 10 min. Add vanilla.
Mix in the flour by hand.
Use 9 by 13in baking sheet. Bake for about 30 min on 325F.










Cream:To make cream beat eggs with sugar until fluffy.
Pour milk in the pot, bring to a boil. 
Add eggs to the milk, stir. Boil for a few min.
Set it to cool in the cold water.
Mix butter until fluffy add cocoa powder.
Add completely cooled eggs to the fluffed butter. Add brandy or rum.
Mix well.
Add  broken pieces of dough.
Mix until its all mixed.
Make shapes of balls or like traditional potato shape. Keep em refrigerated. 
Enjoy with coffee!!!
